The highlights of the presentation will include: "Exploring the "Buzz" Behind the Words"- What are creativity and innovation? Why do we need them? "Somebody Had to Think of It"- Everyday examples of great innovations"Thinking Beyond the Cubicle"- Interactive presentation of business cultures and work environments that stimulate creative thinking “Well, So Much for That Idea..."- Exploring some of the myths and misunderstandings of creativity and innovation"Leading Innovators"- Practical advice and guidelines for leaders supporting creativity and imaginative solutions in the workplace."The Time Is Now". Attendees will build a creativity action plan they can begin to implement immediately.

Upon completion of the presentation, participants will:

  1. Create a work environment that fosters creativity and imaginative solutions
  2. Blend new vision with tradition and encourage employees to become innovators
  3. Understand the role of leadership in fostering creativity and innovation

With a firm belief that creativity and innovation has a place in every role within an organization,Sarah Six is currently an eccentric Energy Pricing Analyst with Minnesota Power. She also serves as the "Think Tank" Lead Coordinator with ALLETE’s Emerging & Disruptive Technology group.She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin Platteville, an A.A. from Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College.  Sarah is also currently enrolled with the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire pursuing her Master's in Business Administration. In addition to Minnesota Power, Sarah has also had the pleasure of working with other great organizations including Douglas County Human Services, Superior-Douglas County Chamber of Commerce, and United Health Group. Throughout her professional career, Sarah has always been passionate about innovation and process improvement.  She has always found a way to bring creative energy and ideas into her work and enjoys bringing it out in others as well.
