Web Training Best Practices

Web Training Best Practices will focus on emerging learning trends at Microsoft that have broad relevance to learning no matter the scope or audience.  This presentation will include: social learning, whole brain learning, storytelling & content design, skill mastery, etc.

Participants will have an introduction on how these are used for both micro learning projects and those at a global scale, and evidence on how they’re improving learning.  Participants will also be provided reference tools for their own application.

Upon completion of the presentation, participants will apply web training best practices to drive successful online learning sessions

This exciting program is sponsored by ASTD and offered by Scott  Carrasca. Scott has nearly 15 years of instructional design, and learning program management experience with AT&T, Lowe’s Companies Inc, and Microsoft.  In his current role as a Curriculum Architect he provides thought leadership and program management for new training strategies to improve multiple training curriculums that represent 1000+ hours of training to a direct global audience of 10,000 and extended audience of several hundred million learners, in 20+ languages, to help make Microsoft consumer products easy for people to use every day.  Scott is hyper focused on leveraging the emerging opportunities to impact learning through the inflection points of big data, content, social media, product immersion, design, gamification and whole brain learning.
