How Leaders Succeed

Successful Leaders engage in hundreds of behaviors every day to be highly effective, but experience and examination of related research suggests that six components are absolutely essential as a LEADER: to Learn, Empower, Achieve, Direct, En-spire and Renew.   After discovering each of these components, participants will learn and practice the FORGE and ACT tools for being direct, providing feedback, and accomplishing results through others.

Participants who attend the session will be able to:

  • Understand the three primary reasons that leaders fail in their roles
  • Recognize six foundational competencies in LEADER success
  • Learn to apply an assertiveness and delegation tool

This great program is sponsored by ASTD and offered by Bruce Roselle, PHD who brings a breadth of experience and deep sense of purpose to the task of helping leaders.  For more than 25 years, Bruce has serviced organizational needs in leadership development, coaching and assessment.  A recognized expert in the field, Bruce is a frequent speaker at professional conferences and corporate events. He has written and co-written articles that appeared in the T&D Journal of ASTD, Counseling and Human Development, Executive Excellence, Leadership Excellence, and the Enterprise MN magazine.  In addition, he has been quoted in print, radio, and television media on his views regarding creating work that is fun, leading wholeheartedly, leading fearlessly, and dealing with stress at work.  Bruce has published two books, Vital Truths: The secret to living and leading wholeheartedly (2002), and Fearless Leadership: Conquering your fears and the lies that drive them (2006).  This second book won two awards from independent publishing organizations, one for Best Business Book (bronze) and another for Best Self-Help Book (silver) in 2007.  He is currently seeking a publisher for his third book, The Fraud Factor: How leaders get in their own way.
