Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace
Leaders are becoming increasingly aware of the role that emotional intelligence skills play in effective and ethical leadership. This session will identify some key emotional intelligence competencies that underlay successful and ethical leadership, as well as risk factors to leaders and their organizations. Participants will learn how to use emotional awareness as part of a framework for protecting their organization from ethical violations.

Participants who attend the session will be able to:

1. Identify three clusters of emotional intelligence competencies that are particularly relevant to workplace success

2. Apply emotional intelligence skills to identifying ethics issues

3. Connect emotional intelligence skills to key leadership competencies

This great program is sponsored by ASTD and offered by Lisa Mattsson whose career spans corporate management, clinical social work, the practice of law, and academic program development.
