LEAding THROUGH the great resignation

As learning leaders, leaders of teams or leaders of our own purpose we are facing the "great resignation" together. This session will explore the phenomenon and discover ways to keep ourselves and our teams engaged. This session will focus on retention best practices for employers and leaders to start practicing today.

Speaker

Kathy Pykkonen is the Director of Learning and Development for Cirrus Aircraft. In her role she works closely with the business units to identify the reasons team members leave and lead actionable plans to engage and retain their workforce.

Prior to joining Cirrus, Kathy was the Director of Career Services at the University of Wisconsin-Superior and owner of Progressive Image Pro speaking on business and dining etiquette throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Kathy served in the active duty Air Force for 8 years where she completed her undergraduate work at Western International University in Behavioral Science and she has a Master of Science in Education from UW-Superior.

Kathy is an at-large board member for the Lake Superior Chapter Association of Training and Development.

Kathy is originally from Northern Minnesota and has identical twin boys, Seth and Derek.
