Powerful Training: Practical Tools for Real-life Trainers

This interactive workshop will provide an opportunity for participants to explore their training practices using the principles of reflection and intentionality. Participants will assess their own learning autiobiography and the impact it has on their training. They will also delve into the topic of building relationships among learners and the role trust plays in effective learning and teaching. Participants will use parts of the new book, "Powerful Training: Practical Tools for Real-Life Trainers".

Objectives:

  • Participants will gain insight into who they are as a learner and how this influences their teaching.
  • Participants will study the importance of relationships in learning.
  • Participants will explore the principles of intentionality and reflection and their impact on training effectiveness.

   

Mary Jo Wimmer

Mary Jo Wimmer, principal of Trillium Leadership Development, has built her 35 year career around providing leadership training, organizational development and intercultural competency work for communities and organizations in greater Minnesota. She is co-author of the book, "Powerful Training: Practical Tools for Real-Life Trainers" and senior design team member and trainer with the Blandin Community Leadership Programs and the Anderson Center for Leadership and Management.
