By the end of this presentation, participants will leave with steps to make their own knowledge transfer plan including: prioritizing what knowledge to capture, how to capture different types of knowledge, methods to transfer that knowledge, and ways to measure success. To prioritize transferring knowledge, there will be a series of key questions to ask to help participants determine where their critical knowledge sits and the risk it poses if that knowledge was lost. Participants will also gain an understanding the different types of knowledge (such as tacit, explicit, and tribal) and be given a few methods on how to capture and transfer each type of knowledge. And what would a plan be without a way to measure success? Throughout the presentation, measurement of progress will be encouraged and potential metrics will be suggested depending on the knowledge plan goals.
