Women today comprise almost half of the United States labor force and The Millennial Generation is now the largest generational cohort in the U.S. workforce. Yet, women and Millennials often struggle to conform and thrive in traditional business structures that were not created by or for them. Understanding the policies and practices that serve to best empower these groups can help organizations to cultivate the types of workplaces that many employees are seeking, ultimately enhancing their ability to recruit and retain talented employees and make them more successful organizations.

Tricia Correia served as the inaugural Bank of America Fellow on Women & the Economy at the Georgetown Institute for Women, Peace & Security (GIWPS) where she led a groundbreaking study on women and Millennials in the United States professional labor force titled Women, Millennials, and The Future Workplace: Empowering All Employees which was recently featured in The Huffington Post. This research took her all over the country, from Silicon Valley to Silicon Bayou (New Orleans) to Wall Street, where she met with 60 men and women at 30 companies to discuss their experiences and perspectives on women and Millennials in business. Now, as Director of Business Development at Delve, a Washington, DC competitive intelligence and issue management firm, Tricia also leads the talent development initiatives where she works to apply many of these learnings within her own company.
